The Headquarters and Headquarters Company (HHC) of the 1st Brigade has seen action in World War I, Vietnam, as well as Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. The brigade's distinguished track record includes significant campaigns such as Aisne-Marne, Meuse-Argonne, Picardy, Tet Counteroffensive, and both the Liberation and Defense of Kuwait. Post Desert Storm, the brigade's extensive operational history includes deployments to Bosnia, Kuwait, and a training exercise with the 2nd Infantry Division in Korea.
