The Berlin Airlift proved air logistics could sustain an entire city. From June 1948 to May 1949, aircraft delivered 2.3 million tons of supplies to West Berlin. Planes landed at Tempelhof every three minutes at peak operations. The Busiest Terminals on Earth

During OIF and OEF, Aerial Port squadrons ran the busiest air terminals on the planet. Al Udeid became the central hub for all theater air cargo. Bagram processed everything from MRAPs to mail. TERMINAL NETWORK

Aerial Port squadrons operate at every major military air terminal worldwide. The 436th Aerial Port Squadron at Dover AFB, the 60th at Travis AFB, and the 305th at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst are among the largest. Reserve and Guard units provide surge capacity during major deployments.
