326th Bombardment Squadron
The 326th Bombardment Squadron carried the fuselage code JW on its B-17 Flying Fortresses. It was part of the 92nd Bombardment Group, 8th Air Force, and holds two distinctions no other squadron in the group can claim. The 326th was the first squadron in the 92nd to complete the non-stop transatlantic crossing to England in August 1942. And it was a 326th crew that produced the 92nd Bomb Group's Medal of Honor recipient.
This collection honors the men who wore JW on their aircraft.
