America 250 - 1776 to 2026

On July 4, 2026, the United States turns 250. Her military got there first. The Continental Army stood up on June 14, 1775. The Continental Navy on October 13, 1775. The Continental Marines on November 10, 1775. The country that signed the Declaration of Independence the following summer was already being defended by men who had taken an oath the year before.

This is the America 250 collection - 1776 to 2026 - built from inside that lineage. Every shirt, hoodie, and patch in here was put together by a Marine combat veteran who served two tours in Afghanistan with 1st Battalion, 8th Marines. Not a brand trying on patriotism. Not a print-on-demand operation chasing a holiday. A small veteran-owned business that has spent the last several years documenting unit history one collection at a time, now turning that work toward the country's 250th birthday.

What's in the collection

America 250 commemorative gear designed for people who know the difference between a parade and a formation. Built around three threads:

  • 1776–2026 commemorative shirts and hoodies - clean, vintage-leaning designs without bumper-sticker patriotism
  • Branch-specific 250 gear - Army (Est. 1775), Navy (Est. 1775), Marines (Est. 1775), Coast Guard, Air Force, Space Force, all marking the milestone in their own lane
  • Semiquincentennial unit merchandise - the older end of the catalog (Revolutionary War lineage units, Old Guard, the original frigates) paired with 250th anniversary callouts

Why this collection is different

Search "America 250 merchandise" and you'll get a wall of identical eagle silhouettes and "We The People" graphics from print-on-demand stores that didn't exist eighteen months ago. The America 250 milestone deserves better than that. So does the veteran community.

The designs here came out of three years of unit-specific research - submarine class histories, battalion lineages, deployment chronologies. The America 250 designs sit inside that same body of work. When a shirt in this collection references Yorktown, somebody on this end actually read the after-action reports. That's the standard.

Veteran-owned, no middleman

Tactically Acquired is owned and operated by a USMC veteran. Houston, Texas. Family business. No venture capital, no licensing deal with a celebrity foundation. Profits from select pinup-line designs are shared with the active-duty service members featured. The rest goes into more designs, more unit-specific work, more reasons to keep showing up.

How to wear it

America 250 is not a one-day holiday. The official commemoration runs through all of 2026, with the climax on July 4. Whether the plan is a community parade, a backyard cookout with the family, the OpSail 2026 fleet review in New York Harbor, or just walking the dog on a normal Tuesday - this gear was made to be worn, not framed.

Honor the past. Wear the future.
