USNS Pathfinder (T-AGS-60) — Lead Ship, Pathfinder-Class Survey

USNS Pathfinder (T-AGS-60) is the lead ship of the Pathfinder-class oceanographic survey ships. In service since 1994, she conducts hydrographic surveys and ocean floor mapping using multibeam sonar that produces the naval charts used by every ship in the fleet. Submarines can't hide in water that hasn't been surveyed — Pathfinder surveys it.
