USS Bolster (ARS-38) - Lead Ship, Bolster-Class Rescue and Salvage

USS Bolster (ARS-38) was the lead ship of the Bolster-class rescue and salvage ships. Commissioned in 1945, she served through WWII, Korea, and Vietnam, performing deep-sea salvage, towing disabled warships, and recovering classified equipment from the ocean floor. The Bolster-class set the standard for Cold War naval salvage capability.
