Unit history
USS Brill (SS-330) was a Balao-class submarine, an improved design that gave American submariners a stronger pressure hull and greater depth capability than the preceding Gato-class. Balao-class boats could dive deeper under depth charge attack, a survivability advantage that proved critical in the increasingly intense anti-submarine warfare environment of the later Pacific war.
Our USS Brill collection is designed for the submariners who served aboard her and the families who waited for them. Each piece of merchandise carries the authentic heritage of a fleet boat that contributed to one of the most effective naval campaigns in history.
