USS Bullhead (SS-332)

USS Bullhead (SS-332), a Balao-class fleet boat, belongs to the roll of submarines that departed on war patrol and never returned. Lost August 6, 1945, bombed by Japanese aircraft in the Java Sea. All 84 crew perished. She was the last U.S. submarine lost in World War II. Our USS Bullhead collection exists to ensure her crew is not forgotten. Each item is a tribute to the submariners who climbed down the hatch knowing they might not climb back out. Built for submarine veterans, their families, and everyone who honors their sacrifice.
