USS Croaker (SS-246)

USS Croaker (SS-246) is one of those boats whose name every submariner knows. USS Croaker completed six war patrols and sank or damaged over 18,000 tons of enemy shipping. She is preserved as a museum ship at the Buffalo Naval Park in New York. Preserved as a museum ship, USS Croaker gives the public a rare chance to step inside a World War II submarine.
