Unit history
As a Balao-class fleet submarine, USS Dentuda (SS-335) incorporated the lessons learned from the early war patrols into a stronger, more capable boat. The Balao-class kept the proven Gato layout but added a pressure hull rated for greater depth, a quiet improvement that saved lives when depth charges fell close.
Our Dentuda merchandise honors the crew who served aboard this submarine. Designed for submarine veterans, military history collectors, and the families who share in the legacy of undersea service, each item reflects the authentic spirit of the Silent Service.
