USS Escape (ARS-6) was a Diver-class rescue and salvage ship commissioned in 1943. She served in the Atlantic and Mediterranean theaters, salvaging damaged vessels and clearing harbors in the wake of amphibious landings across North Africa and Southern France. Her crew specialized in deep-sea diving, firefighting, and heavy towing operations in contested waters.
