USS Grampus (SS-207)

USS Grampus (SS-207) is among the 52 American submarines lost during World War II. Her Tambor-class hull carried a crew into the Solomon Islands where they fought and were lost. Lost around March 5, 1943, likely sunk by Japanese destroyers in Blackett Strait, Solomon Islands. All 71 crew perished. Our USS Grampus collection exists to ensure her crew is not forgotten.
