USS Grayback (SS-208)

Every submarine that leaves port accepts the possibility of not returning. For USS Grayback (SS-208), a Tambor-class boat operating in the Western Pacific, that possibility became reality. Lost February 26, 1944, bombed by Japanese aircraft in the East China Sea. All 80 crew perished. She ranked among the top submarines by tonnage sunk. Her wreck was discovered in 2019. This collection carries the name of USS Grayback forward. Her crew made the ultimate sacrifice, and every piece of merchandise here is designed to keep that memory alive for submarine veterans, families, and historians.
