Unit history
USS Helena (SSN-725) deployed as a Los Angeles-class nuclear attack submarine, the workhorse of the American submarine force from the 1970s through the 2020s. LA-class boats were built to be fast enough to escort carriers, quiet enough to hunt Soviet submarines, and versatile enough to adapt as the strategic environment shifted from Cold War to global operations.
The Helena collection exists because every boat in the fleet carried a crew that earned the right to be remembered. Our apparel and memorabilia are built for submarine veterans and the families who stood with them.
