USS Kingfish (SS-234)

USS Kingfish (SS-234) served as part of the Gato-class fleet, a submarine design that gave the United States the reach and combat capability to project power across the Pacific. Every Gato-class boat shared the same basic characteristics: roughly 312 feet of hull, ten torpedo tubes, and a crew willing to spend weeks submerged in waters controlled by the enemy.
