USS Lionfish (SS-298)

USS Lionfish (SS-298) earned a reputation that still resonates in the submarine community decades after her service. USS Lionfish completed two war patrols in the final months of the Pacific war. She is preserved at Battleship Cove in Fall River, Massachusetts. USS Lionfish survives today as a museum ship, one of the few places where anyone can experience the cramped reality of wartime submarine life.
