In the history of the nuclear submarine force, USS Los Angeles (SSN-688) occupies a significant position. Los Angeles was the lead ship of the largest class of nuclear submarines ever built — 62 boats constructed between 1972 and 1996. The Los Angeles-class was designed to be fast enough to escort carrier battle groups and quiet enough to hunt Soviet submarines. She established the standard for American attack submarines for a quarter century and boats of this class remain in active service.

The Los Angeles collection exists because every boat in the fleet carried a crew that earned the right to be remembered. Our apparel and memorabilia are built for submarine veterans and the families who stood with them.
