USS Muskallunge (SS-262)

Commissioned as a Gato-class submarine, USS Muskallunge (SS-262) joined a fleet of boats that fundamentally changed the balance of power in the Pacific. The Gato-class displaced approximately 1,525 tons surfaced and carried 24 torpedoes, making them formidable commerce raiders capable of strangling Japan's maritime supply lines.
