USS New Jersey (SSN-796)

USS New Jersey (SSN-796) earned a place in submarine history that endures. New Jersey was a Block IV Virginia-class submarine. She carried the name previously borne by four battleships, the last of which (BB-62) served from World War II through Desert Storm and is preserved as a museum ship in Camden.
