Unit history
As a Los Angeles-class nuclear submarine, USS Pittsburgh (SSN-720) represented the standard American attack submarine for a generation. The LA-class design balanced speed, weapons capability, and acoustic quieting to produce a versatile platform equally capable of tracking Soviet submarines in deep water, launching Tomahawk land-attack missiles, and conducting intelligence operations in denied areas.
The USS Pittsburgh collection is built for submariners who know what a hull number represents. For veterans, active duty crews, and military families, this merchandise connects past service with present pride.
