Unit history
USS Plunger (SSN-595) was a Permit-class nuclear attack submarine built for the deep-ocean anti-submarine warfare mission that defined the Cold War submarine force. These boats operated at depths and speeds that allowed them to exploit the deep sound channel for maximum sonar range, a tactical advantage that kept American submarines ahead of their Soviet counterparts.
Our Plunger gear is crafted for the submarine community — the sailors who qualified on her, the families who waited through months-long deployments, and anyone who understands what it means to serve beneath the surface.
