USS Recovery (ARS-43) — Bolster-Class Rescue and Salvage Ship

USS Recovery (ARS-43) was a Bolster-class rescue and salvage ship commissioned in 1946. She is best known for recovering the Apollo 13 command module from the Pacific Ocean in April 1970 after the crew's harrowing return from their aborted lunar mission. Recovery also served in Vietnam and conducted numerous Cold War deep-ocean salvage operations.
