USS Redfish (SS-395)

USS Redfish (SS-395) was a Balao-class submarine that proved what aggressive, well-led boats could accomplish in the Pacific campaign. USS Redfish sank the Japanese aircraft carrier Unryu on December 19, 1944, one of the few fleet carriers sunk by submarine torpedo attack in the Pacific War. We built the USS Redfish collection for submariners and their families. Every piece reflects the operational excellence and crew dedication that defined this boat's service.
