USS Shark (SS-174) was a P-class (Shark/Perch/Porpoise) submarine whose service ended the way too many boats' stories did during the Pacific war. Lost around February 11, 1942, likely depth charged east of Menado, Celebes. All 59 crew perished. She was among the first U.S. submarines lost in combat in WWII.
We carry USS Shark merchandise because names like hers should not fade. For submarine veterans, military families, and anyone who understands what these crews risked, this collection is a way to remember.
