USS Silversides (SS-236)

USS Silversides (SS-236) delivered results that placed her among the most effective combat submarines of the Second World War. USS Silversides ranks among the top U.S. submarines by tonnage sunk, credited with 23 vessels totaling over 90,000 tons across 14 war patrols. She survived the entire war and is preserved today as a museum ship in Muskegon, Michigan. USS Silversides survives today as a museum ship, one of the few places where anyone can experience the cramped reality of wartime submarine life.
