USS Skipjack (SS-184)

Among the Salmon-class submarines that fought in the Pacific, USS Skipjack (SS-184) stands out for the quality and impact of her war record. USS Skipjack completed eight war patrols before being lost. She served with distinction during the first years of the war, operating in the Philippine and Dutch East Indies waters during some of the most dangerous early patrols.
