Unit history
USS Snapper (SS-185) was a Salmon-class submarine that served during the critical transition from peacetime to wartime operations. The Salmon-class boats were among the most capable submarines in the pre-war fleet and saw extensive combat in the Pacific, enduring depth charge attacks and mechanical challenges that tested their crews to the limit.
The USS Snapper collection is crafted for those who know the real weight of submarine service. Whether you served aboard her, knew someone who did, or simply respect the history, this gear carries the heritage of the American submarine force.
