USS Snook (SS-279)

USS Snook (SS-279), a Gato-class fleet boat, belongs to the roll of submarines that departed on war patrol and never returned. Lost around April 8, 1945, cause and location unknown, somewhere between Luzon Strait and the East China Sea. All 84 crew perished. Our USS Snook collection exists to ensure her crew is not forgotten. Each item is a tribute to the submariners who climbed down the hatch knowing they might not climb back out. Built for submarine veterans, their families, and everyone who honors their sacrifice.
