USS Swordfish (SS-193) never came home. This Sargo-class submarine sailed into the Western Pacific and gave everything in the fight against Japan. Lost around January 12, 1945, likely to combined Japanese attack near Okinawa. All 89 crew perished during her thirteenth war patrol.
