USS Tarpon (SS-175)

Built during the interwar period, USS Tarpon (SS-175) was a P-class submarine that entered the war as part of the existing fleet. These boats were not as capable as the later Gato and Balao classes, but their crews fought with the same determination, often in the most dangerous waters of the early Pacific campaign.
