USS Thresher (SS-200)

USS Thresher (SS-200) was a Tambor-class submarine that proved what aggressive, well-led boats could accomplish in the Pacific campaign. USS Thresher completed 10 war patrols in the Pacific and was credited with sinking or damaging multiple enemy vessels. She served throughout the war and survived to be decommissioned in 1946.
