USS Trigger (SS-237)

There is no homecoming story for USS Trigger (SS-237). This Gato-class submarine was lost during operations in the Western Pacific, and her crew never returned. Lost March 28, 1945, likely to combined air and surface attack south of the Nansei Shoto island chain. All 89 crew perished. She was one of the most successful submarines of the war with 18 confirmed sinkings.
