Fourteen mine countermeasures ships built with wooden hulls and the lowest magnetic signature of any ship in the fleet. Designed to find and destroy mines in deep water. They swept the Persian Gulf, hunted mines in the Strait of Hormuz, and operated in some of the most dangerous waters on earth.

Ran aground on Tubbataha Reef in the Philippines on January 17, 2013. Despite weeks of salvage efforts, the wooden-hulled ship could not be freed intact. She was cut apart and scrapped in place on the reef. The worst peacetime loss in the mine warfare community's modern history.
