CENTCOM launched Operation Epic Fury at 0100 local time on February 28, 2026. B-2 Spirit stealth bombers out of Whiteman Air Force Base flew 37-hour round-trip missions to put bunker busters on Iran's hardened ballistic missile facilities. F-15E Strike Eagles, F/A-18 Super Hornets off USS Abraham Lincoln and USS Gerald R. Ford, EA-18G Growlers, Tomahawk-armed Arleigh Burke destroyers - the largest concentration of American airpower in the Middle East since 2003.
