SEAL Delivery Vehicle Team 1 (SDVT-1)

SEAL Delivery Vehicle Team One (SDVT-1) is led by a Navy Commander with the rank of O-5. Their equipment suite boasts three active SEAL Delivery Vehicles (SDV) and a Dry Deck Shelter (DDS). Organizationally, SDVT-1 comprises three specialized task units, complemented by a central administrative element. Each SDV Task Unit operates autonomously, typically deploying from host submarines, but can also embark from surface vessels or land bases.

These 40-member SDV Task Units consist of a central management group and two 16-member platoons. Within each platoon, there are 11 Navy SEAL operatives, a medical dive specialist, and four fleet maintenance technicians. Geographically, SDVT-1 operates primarily within the jurisdictions of the Pacific and Central Commands. Originally based in Coronado, California, the team relocated to Pearl Harbor in 1994. Following the 2021 disbandment of the Naval Special Warfare Group 3 (NSWG-3), oversight of SDVT-1 shifted to Naval Special Warfare Group 8 (NSWG-8) in Little Creek.
