USS Dace (SSN-607)

USS Dace (SSN-607) represents a milestone in the evolution of American undersea warfare. The nuclear Dace carried the name of her WWII predecessor (SS-247), which helped sink the heavy cruiser Maya during the Battle of Leyte Gulf in one of the war's most celebrated wolfpack attacks.
