USS Montana (SSN-794)

The record of USS Montana (SSN-794) reflects what nuclear submarines have meant to national security. Montana was a Block IV Virginia-class submarine. She carried the name of a state that has never had an active-duty surface warship named after it, making the submarine the only major combatant to bear the name.
