The Queen's Own. Organized in 1916, the 32nd Infantry served in Siberia during the Allied intervention and was nicknamed in honor of Hawaiian Queen Lili'uokalani when stationed in Hawaii. The regiment fought in Korea with the 7th Infantry Division through the Inchon landing, the advance to the Chosin Reservoir, and the subsequent fighting retreat. The 32nd Infantry's Korean War service defined the regiment.

Organized in 1916, the 33rd Infantry Regiment served in the Pacific Theater during WWII. The regiment participated in combat operations across the Pacific islands, contributing to the island-hopping campaign that drove Japanese forces back toward the home islands.

Organized in 1916, the 34th Infantry Regiment served in the Pacific during WWII and in Korea with the 24th Infantry Division. The regiment was among the first American ground units committed to Korea in July 1950, fighting the desperate early delaying actions at Osan and along the Kum River against the North Korean advance.

The Spartans. Organized in 1916, the 36th Infantry served through both World Wars and Korea. The regiment deployed to Vietnam, where it operated as a mechanized infantry unit. The Spartan nickname reflects the regiment's emphasis on discipline and close combat effectiveness throughout its service history.

Organized in 1916, the 37th Infantry Regiment served in the Pacific Theater during WWII with the 6th Infantry Division. The regiment fought through New Guinea and into the Philippines, participating in the liberation campaign that drove Japanese forces from the archipelago.

Rock of the Marne. The 38th Infantry earned the famous nickname alongside the 30th Infantry at the Second Battle of the Marne in 1918. Assigned to the 2nd Infantry Division, the 38th fought in WWII and Korea, including the vicious fighting at the Twin Tunnels and Chipyong-ni. The regiment remains active with the 2nd ID today — one of the most forward-deployed units in the Army.

Organized in 1917, the 40th Infantry Regiment served through WWI and WWII. The regiment contributed to American ground combat operations across multiple theaters during the World Wars.

Organized in 1917, the 41st Infantry Regiment served as armored infantry with the 2nd Armored Division in WWII — riding alongside the tanks of "Hell on Wheels" from North Africa through Sicily, Normandy, and into Germany. The regiment fought in some of the most intense armored engagements of the European Theater.

Organized in 1917, the 42nd Infantry Regiment served through both World Wars. The regiment contributed to American combat operations as part of the massive expansion of the Army during the world wars.

Organized in 1917, the 44th Infantry Regiment served in both World Wars, contributing to the ground combat that defined American military power in the twentieth century.

Organized in 1917, the 45th Infantry Regiment served through both World Wars as part of the Army's massive wartime expansion.

Raiders of the 9th Division. The 47th Infantry served with the 9th Infantry Division — the "Old Reliables" — from North Africa through Sicily, Normandy, and the drive across France in WWII. The regiment later served in Vietnam with the 9th ID in the Mekong Delta, conducting riverine operations in some of the most difficult terrain of the war.

The Borinqueneers. The 65th Infantry Regiment — composed almost entirely of Puerto Rican soldiers — is one of the most decorated and least recognized units in Army history. The regiment fought in WWI, WWII, and Korea, where the Borinqueneers conducted some of the war's most aggressive bayonet charges against Chinese forces at Outpost Kelly. In 2014, Congress awarded the 65th Infantry Regiment the Congressional Gold Medal. Honor and Fidelity.

The Fighting 69th. Originally the 69th New York Militia — an Irish-American regiment that charged the stone wall at Fredericksburg and held Cemetery Ridge at Gettysburg. In WWI, the 69th became the 165th Infantry of the 42nd "Rainbow" Division and fought from Lunéville to the Meuse-Argonne. Father Francis Duffy served as their chaplain — his statue still stands in Times Square. Joyce Kilmer, the poet, was killed serving with the regiment. The Fighting 69th is the most famous National Guard regiment in American history.

Organized in 1918, the 74th Infantry Regiment served in WWII as part of the Army's wartime force expansion.

Organized in 1917, the 85th Infantry Regiment is assigned to the 10th Mountain Division. The regiment has served in multiple conflicts and continues to provide infantry combat power as part of one of the Army's most deployed divisions in the Global War on Terror.

Organized in 1917, the 86th Infantry Regiment serves with the 10th Mountain Division. The regiment has deployed repeatedly in support of operations in Afghanistan and Iraq as part of the 10th Mountain's rapid-deployment mission.

Mountaineers. The 87th Mountain Infantry Regiment was the original core of the 10th Mountain Division — recruited from the nation's best skiers, mountaineers, and outdoorsmen. Trained at Camp Hale, Colorado, at 9,200 feet elevation. In February 1945, soldiers of the 87th scaled the near-vertical face of Riva Ridge in Italy at night, surprising the German defenders and breaking the Gothic Line. The 10th Mountain's assault through the Po Valley helped end the war in Italy.

Organized in 1917, the 88th Infantry Regiment served in both World Wars as part of the Army's wartime infantry force.
